Welcome to the home of the Greenville Seventh-day Adventist Church!
We are glad to have you visit our website! We hope this will give you some helpful information, answer your questions, provide you with a snapshot of who we are, what we are about, where we are located, what we believe, and anything else you may wish to know.
Our church is a filled with friendly people of various and differing backgrounds, but all sharing a commitment in serving our loving Savior, Jesus the Christ. We invite you to come join us anytime as we praise Him together, grow in our knowledge of Him, and learn to share Him with others while serving in our community.
We extend a warm welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, in the closet or out, expendably rich, dirt poor, yo no habla Ingles; we extend a warm welcome to those who are crying newborns, terrible twos, squirmy kids, skinny as a rail or could afford to lose a few pounds. We welcome you if you sing like Luciano Pavarotti or like our head deacon who can’t carry a tune in a bucket. You are welcomed if you’re “just browsing”, just woke up, or just got out of jail. We don’t care if you’re more Catholic than the Pope or haven’t been in church since little Jimmy’s baptism.
We extend a warm welcome to those who are over 60 but not yet grown up and to teenagers who are growing up too fast. We welcome soccer moms, NASCAR dads, starving artists, tree huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, vegans, junk food eaters, and Krispy Kreme lovers; we welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re having problems, or you’re down in the dumps, or even if you don’t like “organized religion.” If you blew all your offering money at the gambling machines or on the “education” lotto, you’re welcome here.
We offer a warm welcome to those who think the earth is still flat, work too hard, don’t work, can’t work, can’t spell, or because grandma is in town and wanted to go to church. We extend a warm welcome to those who regularly attend and to those who regularly intend to attend. We want you here if you are happy, joy-full, gracious, merciful, forgiving or in need of happiness, joy, grace, mercy, or forgiveness.
We welcome those who are inked, pierced or both, whether you ride a Harley or moped, drive a Lotus, Beemer, or an old clunker held together by “duck” tape. We offer a warm welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down your throat as a kid, or got lost in the fray and wound up here by “mistake”. We welcome tourists, seekers and doubters, bleeding hearts and we would like to, no, we do welcome you just as you are, right where you are!
We would be delighted to have you visit us in person! May God bless you and keep you; May the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; May the Lord lift up His favor and give you His peace this day and forever.
